Ukrainian Psychotherapeutic Experience in Overcoming Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder in Military Men

Abstract

The article aims to present Ukrainian psychotherapeutic experience of overcoming post-traumatic stress disorder in military men, analyzes the dynamics of traumatic situations, considers some theoretical issues regarding provision of psychological assistance for persons with post-traumatic stress disorder, who were affected by the hostilities, and considers methods and stages of psychologists work with participants during psychological rehabilitation. Comparative analysis of Ukrainian servicemen was based on Scheffes t-test. Psychological assessment was performed at all three stages. Results of the study can be used for practical implementation by psychologists.
