Abstract
Geospatial technologies have revolutionized disaster management by providing tools for data collection, analysis, and visualization. This paper provides a comprehensive review of the role of geospatial technologies in disaster management, focusing on their applications in preparedness, response, recovery, and reconstruction. The paper highlights the importance of geospatial technologies in early warning systems, risk assessment, damage assessment, search and rescue operations, resource allocation, and infrastructure planning. It also discusses the challenges facing the use of geospatial technologies in disaster management, such as data integration, technological advancements, and policy frameworks. The paper concludes with recommendations for future research and innovation in the field of geospatial technologies for disaster management.
