Occupational Safety and its Relationship to Workplace Accidents among Civil Protection Officers in the Wilaya of Tizi Ouzou

Abstract
Our study aimed to investigate the extent of the relationship between occupational safety and work accidents among civil protection officers in the wilaya of Tizi Ouzou. The intervention officers of the main unit, Tahir Afragn, in the wilaya of Tizi Ouzou were the subject of our study.
We used the descriptive approach in our study, as it is the most appropriate and suitable for such studies, where we highlighted the elements related to occupational safety and work accidents. The study was carried out on a simple random sample of 100 male intervention officers working in daily interventions, using statistical programmes to test the validity of the hypotheses proposed (correlation coefficient and t-test). The results of this study are as follows:
- The study showed that there is a negative relationship between work safety and work accidents among civil protection officers.
- The study statistics showed that there are statistically significant negative differences in occupational safety due to the educational level of civil protection officers in the wilaya of Tizi Ouzou.
- The study statistics showed that there are statistically significant negative differences in occupational safety attributed to the professional experience of civil protection officers in the wilaya of Tizi Ouzou.
