Strengthening rural tourism and its role in preserving Algeria's local heritage

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of promoting rural tourism in preserving the local
heritage in Algeria, relying on data collection from different rural areas in Algeria with a focus on
the interaction between tourism and the protection of cultural and natural heritage.
The study included interviews with local stakeholders and analyzed the impacts of tourism
activities on local communities. The results showed that rural tourism contributes positively to
heritage conservation by providing new sources of income for local communities and encouraging
the preservation of customs and traditions. However, it requires sustainable management to protect
environmental and cultural resources.
