Main Article Content
Abstract
The Algerian legislature has attached great importance to the local level, especially those elected at the level of the municipal people's councils, since they have a direct relationship with citizens and to the acquisition of that status, as regulated by the Order 21 - 01. The electoral system begins with the establishment of legal requirements for candidates for membership of municipal people's assemblies, with the establishment of legal mechanisms by which the voting process is organized until such time as the counting process is conducted and the results are announced in order to ensure the integrity of the electoral process and the selection of municipal elected persons whose affairs are conducted at the level of their municipalities throughout their electoral period in order to serve their aspirations.
