Abstract

Corruption is a global phenomenon that the international community has addressed Under international conventions and charters, especially the United Nations convention on the prevention and combating of corruption approved by the general assembly on 29/09/2006, which Algeria ratified with reservations, Accordingly, the Algerian legislator introduced several amendments to prevent corruption. Especially law NO. 01-06 of 22/02/2006m which included in articles 17 to 24, as an exception, the national commission for the prevention and combating of corruption, and in implementation of those article, presidential decree NO. 06-413 of 22/11/2006 specified the composition and management of the commission, but after the amendment in 2020, it stipulated the supreme authority for transparency and the prevention of corruption, and as an embodiment of that, law 08-22 was issued on 22/05/


2022, which includes the establishment of the authority, how it is formed its functioning, and its functions, and abolishes the authority.
