Abstract

God Almighty created the universe according to a precise system, everything in it is based on precise assessment, interconnection and integration, and the environment is part of this universe, and the texts of Sharia make it clear to us beyond doubt that humans have a hand in polluting it, destroying it, and disrupting life in it, and this study comes to shed light. On the topic of “The Environment in Islam” by defining the environment and how Islam deals with it, through the following main problem: What is the status of the environment and the philosophy of caring for it in Islam? What measures did Islam bring to achieve this? To answer the problem at hand, we divided this study into three axes. In the first axis, we addressed the nature of the environment, by defining it linguistically, terminologically, legally, and Islamically, as well as highlighting its elements. As for the second axis, we touched on To the environment and Islam, through the environment from an Islamic perspective, and the foundations of environmental conservation, as well as Islam and environmental education. As for the third and final axis, we touched on Islamic measures to care for the environment, through general innate fundamental measures, and legislative jurisprudential measures to care for the environment.
