ONLINE CRISIS COUNSELLING INTERVENTION -A REVIEW OF PREVIOUS LITERATURE-

Abstract

     This study aimed to review previous literature that examined the subject of counseling intervention in crises via Internet, using a descriptive approach that describes the phenomenon in terms of the type of: crisis studied, the means of Internet communication used, as well as the counseling intervention methods adopted. For the purpose of collecting previous studies, searches were carried out on: google.net; google scholar; ASJP-dz; IASJ.net.; Databases; Shamaa; using the terms: Crisis Counselling; Online Crisis Counselling; Online Counselling; Crisis Counselling Intervention; Crisis Counselling Online; in both Arabic and English; The sample consisted of 14 studies (n=14) conducted between 2014and2024. The study revealed the use of many means of asynchronous communication in psychosocial and professional crises; And synchronous communication in crises related to the coronavirus pandemic crisis. It also revealed a variety of crises studied, the most important of which are: Anxiety and depression related to life events; And the Corona crisis; It also varied in terms of the therapeutic approaches used in the intervention, the most important of which is the cognitive-behavioral approach.
