Abstract

This research paper aims to identify the impact of the contradiction between the declared work values of an institution and the behaviors, values, and beliefs of individuals, as it represents one of the m ost significant sociocultural barriers limiting the effectiveness of communication within institutions. An analytical view was taken into what each side of this article should encompass, explaining their nature, types, sources, and the role and importance of each in the life of the institution.


From this study, it has become apparent that the contradiction between the declared work values and the behaviors and values of some employees, such as reliance on secrecy, undervaluing the importance of time, lack of transparency, withholding information, and the predominance of primary communications and relationships over professional ones, are all factors that can negatively affect and exacerbate the effectiveness and quality of internal communication. This can lead to the emergence of value conflicts, the spread of rumors, resistance to change within the institution ،and reduced  participation in teamwork.
